Having to hold the screen with the finger when watching the video or snap was fine when the videos or snaps were of 10 seconds but now the stars of social media and amateurs are now recording stories that are of more than a minute. Also, the monetization of the app is depending on people staying glued to Our Stories, which is crowd sourced and long-form. That is the place where it is inserting the ads.

Latest Snapchat news is about the update that the company has provided to cater the issue. The user will still be tapping again in order to fast forward so they can get to the next clip in the Story but they can easily swipe down instead of finger being released so that it can be closed. This will provide the long stories consist of less exhaustion. However, this sword is double-edged. This shall make the chance of people not looking on the screen while Snaps being played easier. It had been more intimate and attractive to the advisors that the attention was undivided by the viewers with tap-and-hold-to-view mode. However, now the app cannot be sure of the fact whether the people are looking at the screen or not.

Snapchat reports that there had been Snapcodes released by the app so it was smarter and easier to follow the users. The QR codes are capable to be scanned by the camera within Snapchat by someone else and they begin following you. The audience has been able to be increased in four ways now.

The selfie with the snapcode of yours can be added. Camera shall be swiped down by the user in order to see their snapcode. Tap on that and the user will be able to shoot 5 selfie series to put their face or anything in the logo of the app which makes it capable of getting personalized by the users.

The users can save their snapcode as well. The snapcode being tapped makes it able for the users to make a button visible via which it can be shared anywhere or saved in the camera roll.

The screenshots of the snapcodes can be saved too. At first it was only the scanning of snapcode with the camera. However if it is only the smartphone that you have then, it is not possible that you get a text or discover someone online just like that. There has also been the “Add Nearby” section which lets users add people via location.
