Tesla Motors Will Now Sell Vehicles Directly In Indiana

With the removal of an amendment added to the bill, Tesla would be able to continue directly delivering in Indiana

Tesla Motors has received a good news from Indiana last week, an amendment was made to a bill by the legislature of Indiana to make it unlawful for automakers to directly deliver vehicles to customers. But on 25th February 2016 that amendment was removed from the bill which has assured the continuity of the Tesla's operation in the state for the upcoming times.
Tesla operations are based on direct sales model, but it has adversely affected other vehicle manufacturers and dealerships they deliver through. Dealerships, on their part have battled back in many states such as New Jersey, Arizona and Texas and in the past legal barriers have been won by them to ensure that the automaker fails to directly sell cars itself.
In Indiana, General Motors was participating in the battle against the American electric vehicle pioneer. GM had recently launched an electrically powered automobile that is capable of competing with the upcoming Tesla Model 3. GM was alleged by Tesla of being behind the bill launched in the legislature of the state in a letter written by it to its customers. The letter was disclosed to Ars technica.
Nevertheless, Tesla failed to share solid evidence of the involvement of GM which didn't respond  to that accusation, but told Ars technica that it was unequivocally favoring the amendment of the bill.
The Michigan based automaker responded to the removal of the amendment from the newly launched bill by stating it’s very pleased for being able to give hype to the matter of disparity affecting its dealership partners in the state, that this matter was  given that much attention and  promoted to such a huge extent. We applaud the legislative of Indiana to take this matter seriously , debate and help improve the profile of this significant issue, which is demonstrating the inequity of various rivals having different regulations in the automobile market.
Conventional automakers have for a long period of time claimed that third-party dealerships are nice for consumers as they benefit from rivalry between dealerships  and the   financing options and services  provided to them by dealers so to a huge extent, it’s the purchasers who are getting facilitated
Tesla has claimed that the franchised  dealership model would not be logical for the organization because dealerships would not earn money from those extra facilities on the electric vehicles of Tesla which as per reports of Learn bonds only sells vehicles  for which it has received orders. That ensures that it doesn’t need huge car lots as needed by  conventional dealerships.
But that’s pretty much the benefits availed by the company. Dealers are often provided incentives to deliver vehicles at the fastest pace they can. This also tells us that vehicle dealerships are always having ulterior motives which are behind their sales.
Money is earned by car dealerships on how rapidly cars are delivered by them.
