AT&T Offers Customers An Upgraded Device For Their Vehicles

The device offers great features which come in handy with your vehicle daily

The time has come when the concept of drivers being connected while driving is about to change, as AT&T comes out with an upgrade for its service called “Car Connection 2.0” This upgrade is designed to increase safety, control, and convenience while driving.
According to AT&T news, a plug-in solution, and an upgrade to the company’s current Audiovox Car Connection Elite device is ready to offer you with more functions from the wireless internet provider AT&T last month. Customers who are already using the present device can upgrade their device simply by downloading the updated version of the app. New customers can buy the device for $99 plus $10 for a data plan from AT&T.
A wide range of functions arrive with the upgraded version which includes more control, and security. For example, parents will now be able to monitor how their kids drive, with a complete score attached. These scores will be based on the kids driving performance, other than that, parents will be able to restrict the vehicle to certain areas.
Using Car Connection 2.0 you can easily be able to locate your vehicle in a parking lot, no matter how big the parking lot is. The app will easily find your vehicle under this service. Maintenance of the vehicle has become a piece of cake now, whether it’s the engine, lights, battery status, or any other problem in your vehicle.
Through Car Connection 2.0 insurance providers will be able to share their quotes based on driver score records. Chris Penrose, senior vice president of  Internet of Things said, “AT&T is a leader in delivering connectivity solutions for cars. This upgraded solution is a great way for customers to enhance the safety and control of vehicles that don’t already have these useful functions. In fact, we now have a vehicle lookup tool in our stores where customers can input their car make and model and find out what kind of connected car solution they need.”
The device is stress-free to install. A port under the steering wheel present in most vehicles is where the device is to be inserted. Functions of Car Connection 2.0 can then easily be used.
VP of VOXX Electronics, Telematics Solutions, Dan Murphy said,” In-vehicle services are common in today’s newest vehicles, but there are millions of cars on the road that do not have these systems as standard equipment,” He further added, “Now, with the addition of Car Connection 2.0, drivers can enjoy benefits such as Automatic Crash SOS, Emergency Services, Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Recovery plus our unique Driver Distraction protection and insurance discount programs.”
AT&T has now made it possible to turn your classic car into a connected one. You don’t need to worry whether you’re driving the Batmobile from 1997, it could now be transformed into a connected Batmobile of today’s era.
