Microsoft Released Windows 10 Update Along With The Crash Warning

Microsoft has released Windows 10 and Edge, the newest update on Windows 10 can crash the Edge if users have AMD GPU.

Latest Microsoft news is regarding the update it has released yesterday for Windows 10. However the software giant has warned the users along with releasing the update. The warning is regarding the Advanced Micro Devices chipset for graphics which is expected to have “frequent crashes” associated to the new Edge browser.
The software giant had vowed of picking up the pace of newly released Windows 10, since that time, we have seen an update every 16 days on average. The general manager for engineering sector at Microsoft, Gabriel Aul has discussed the improvements in the build 10122 but before discussing that he also pointed at the big bug.
He expressed that if the users are using AMD GPU they are going to run into the crashes in new browser by Microsoft, Edge which is sadly going to be frequent.  The browser is still branded as ‘Project Spartan’ in this particular build. Microsoft news reports that the company is working along with partners at AMD in order to work on new drivers which shall be preventing this issue and also will update this once it has been released.
Edge is considered to be the flagship browser that will come in as default one on devices with Windows 10. Till the solution is out in the market, the users can avoid this issue by switching to the “slow” ring in Windows 10; this is the slower of two tracks which have been released lately.
There have been several changes that Aul pointed out; these include the Start menu improvements and also the changes in Start screen. They both are able to be toggled by the users now. There is a debut of “new tab page” in Microsoft Edge, furthermore there are changes to the way OS maps an app to a particular file type.
The company had unveiled the new tab page feature last month at the Build 2015 conference and is seen as a dramatic overhaul of the existing IE11 which has thumbnails-only approach. The new tab page shall appear on the Edge whenever the user shall request for the new tab and is busies and filled not only with the pictures of websites which are most frequently visited by the user but also content from MSN and the news and apps.
The later bit points at the aspect that the software giant is becoming aggressive with the promotion of Windows Store apps, which has become as the biggest revenue generator for the company’s strategy and also is being monetized. Aul has said that these updates will further fine tune the Windows 10 and also the browser.
