Google Fiber Rollout and Time Warner Cable's Latest ISP

Time Warner Cable is considered to be one of the big names when it comes to cable communications. It has declared that it will increase the internet speeds of its subscribers up to six times faster as to what it is now. The news seems bigger but the timing of it matters more than that.
Latest Google news is that the search giant has decided to enter the ISP market after being known as one of the fastest and reliable search engine for many in the world. The company announced that it will be expanding the internet business to a few other metro areas, it also included Charlotte. Google has been working on the design and is on the verge of getting it finalized so that the way for network construction has been cleared.
If we come to analyze it, this dramatic improvement in service by any ISP all at once isn’t the first one to happen. When it comes to Google, any internet provider or any company gets serious in their business as they are sure Google has the potential to not only embrace an existing tough competition in the market but also to give one. Google news reports that the AT&T in Kansas began offering up to 1 Giga bit of internet per second for only $70 per month. That duplicated the Google Fiber price and also the level of service it provides. Following the Google’s arrival, Time Warner also incremented the speeds in Kansas.
One of the professors at Columbia shares views about “Google Fiber Effect” saying that “the only way to improve America’s internet service, which lags badly behind other industrialized countries, is through increased competition. And right now, competition is sorely lacking in the broadband space.”
As per the FCC data, there are 55% of American personnel who have no provision in their respective broadband provider. A lot of analysis has been done over the Comcast and Time Warner Cable and deduced that this merger would have majority of the end-users having a single choice when it comes to broadband internet.
It has also been suggested that the new legislative efforts, for instance the new neutrality regulation should work to guard the end-users from abuses of overriding ISPs. However the government actually will not be enough for the mighty ISPs such as that of Comcast or Time Warner Cable to be more inclined towards providing a better service because it is known to all of us that the consumers won’t have an option of jumping from one ship to another for a better service or a different one for that matter.
It is actually lucky that Google is one of those fortunate companies with sufficient money required to build their own broadband service.
