BYD Threatens Tesla Motors

 tesla challange

The American electric automobile-manufacturing corporation, Tesla Motors, is challenged by the Chinese electric automobile-manufacturing business, “Build Your Dreams”. Tesla news states that the Build Your Dreams (BYD) is already manufacturing a large number of electric buses in the United States of America. Tesla news today reported that the management of the Chinese automotive business would soon increase its battery production in the largest economy of the world.
These plans would play an important role in initiating a conflict between the two companies, as only one of them can become the largest supplier of batteries to electric vehicles. It is anticipated that BYD would add six gigawatt-hours of battery production in the next three years. This addition would increase the total capacity of the firm to around 34 gigawatt hours by 2020 from the current 10 gigawatt-hours.
If the Chinese giant manages to achieve its manufacturing target, then it would be able to challenge Tesla Motors, as it would be able to supply its designed vehicles to a larger number of electric automobile buyers. The American electric car-maker would be able to utilize its full production capacity of about 35 gigawatt hours by 2020. It needs to take note of the performance of BYD, as the Chinese business is rapidly emerging as an important player in the electric vehicle business. It is expected that the huge growth of is most likely to attract the existing customers of the American manufacturer.
The worth of BYD would be $1,500,000,000 in the United States of America alone by 2019.This is sufficient to explain that the company is growing at a rapid pace. It started its operations by manufacturing batteries for mobile phones. In 2003, the firm surprised many as it launched its electric automobile. Since then, it has become one of the most successful producers of the People’s Republic of China.
BYD targeted the automobile market of the largest economy of the World. It is suggested by latest Tesla news that the Chinese car developer currently operates and manages two manufacturing plants in Southern California, which makes electric buses. It intends to establish and operate a large manufacturing plant in the largest sugar producing country, Brazil, in 2015. The market analysts and experts hold any opinion regarding this challenge as the spirit of tension prevails.
The achievements and the plans of the automaker are adequate to elaborate that it has the potential to grow significantly and capture the market share of the American business. The management of Tesla Motors needs to carefully develop and implement expansion strategies to compete with the Chinese rival. Now it is yet to be seen that to what extent the corporation is able to threaten its American competitor and dominate the international electric automobile market.
