This addition would increase the total capacity of the firm to around 34 gigawatt hours by 2020 from the current 10 gigawatt-hours.
If the Chinese giant manages to achieve its manufacturing target, then it would be able to challenge Tesla Motors, as it would be able to supply its designed vehicles to a larger number of electric automobile buyers. The American electric car-maker would be able to utilize its full production capacity of about 35 gigawatt hours by 2020.
