IBM is known as the Big Blue in the information technology world. Recently, International Business Machines Corporation amazed the world by striking a good analytics deal with NTT data. Moreover, it also partnered with Twitter in order to take tweets to cloud servers. According to latMes Twitter updates, the social media site just acquired GNIP in order to manage its big data. The micro blogging platform company seeks to strike a NTT Data deal just like IBM. The acquired company, GNIP, announced that the company is not willing to make any ‘fire hose reseller agreements’ with other parties as it was seen that one of its licensees of fire hose was being affected.
The company has confirmed that NTT Data will no longer have any rights to sell fire hose agreements to third parties starting August. The NTT Data deal with Twitter used to resold tweets as well as the meta data in Japan. Twitter does not seek to end the partnership with NTT Data hence together both parties will now work together on enterprise services.
In Twitter news, the company mentioned it in a blog post about good relations with NTT Data in the past and present and it wishes to strengthen the bond for the future. “Our two companies are working together now on transitioning NTT Data from being simply a data reseller to a far more strategic solutions partner based on the strength of NTT Data’s breadth and depth of expertise in social analysis, systems integration and business insights,” said the company.
The spokesperson of the company told Tech Crunch that NTT has no fire hose anymore to resell. The company is working on changing the paradigms of this partnership just like as the social media giant did with IBM. Twitter’s deal with IBM was “to let enterprises incorporate Twitter data into their decision-making through an established set of IBM tools, solutions and consulting services.”
Twitter has not removed NTT as its key partner on the official websites and is in no mood to end direct relations with it. Furthermore, the social media company has come out to let the investors of NTT know that they will not be left ‘high and dry’. Also, Twitter came ahead to let the investors of both parties know that the partnership will last long between both companies keeping in mind the values of both companies.
Twitter’s Japan Blog Post said “NTT Data has been and will continue to be a very close and strategic partner in Japan. Our two companies are working together now on transitioning NTT Data from being simply a data reseller to a far more strategic solutions partner…..”
